RÉPROBATION
n. f.

Action par laquelle on réprouve, on rejette. Il se dit spécialement, en termes de Théologie, du Jugement de Dieu contre les pécheurs impénitents. Les questions de la prédestination et de la réprobation ont exercé les théologiens. Signe de réprobation. Frappé de réprobation.

Il signifie aussi simplement Blâme, désapprobation sévère. Cette action mérite la réprobation publique, universelle. Cela est digne de réprobation. Encourir la réprobation des gens de bien. Son altitude a soulevé la réprobation générale.
